LocalizePilot is a WordPress translation product. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit localizepilot.com, contact us, create an account, or purchase a product. It also explains how the LocalizePilot WordPress plugin handles data on a website where it is installed.

When you create an account, place an order, subscribe to emails, or contact us, we may collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, billing details, and message.

How the WordPress Plugin Handles Data
The LocalizePilot plugin runs on the website where you install it. It stores plugin settings and API keys, translation records, usage counters, and generated cache files in that website’s WordPress installation.
If a site administrator enables the plugin’s optional analytics, LocalizePilot sets a random localizepilot_visitor_id cookie for anonymous visitors. The plugin stores a one-way hash of that identifier along with the page URL, language, and visit time. The plugin does not store raw visitor IP addresses or raw user-agent strings for these analytics events.
A site administrator chooses and configures a translation provider. When the plugin requests a translation, page content and related translation settings may be sent to that provider. The selected provider’s own terms and privacy practices apply. Website owners should review those practices before translating content that contains personal or sensitive information.
The website owner controls the plugin’s configuration and is responsible for explaining its use of translation providers, cookies, and analytics to visitors in the privacy policy for their own website.
Sharing Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate our website, process payments, deliver emails, provide support, or protect our services. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Information sent from an installed LocalizePilot plugin to a translation provider is governed by the provider selected by that website’s administrator.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep website, account, and purchase information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal obligations.
For plugin data stored on a customer’s WordPress site, deactivating LocalizePilot does not delete that data. Deleting the plugin through WordPress runs its uninstall process, which removes LocalizePilot settings, translation records, analytics events, and generated cache files.
Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. You can also contact us to ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Some information may need to be retained for legal or business recordkeeping.
For information collected by a separate website using the LocalizePilot plugin, please get in touch with that website’s owner.
